Q-zeta is a new class of domestic heat pump, integrating a compact air source heat pump (ASHP) with a novel high-capacity thermal store.
It is engineered as a direct replacement for gas combi boilers and can be installed with minimal property disruption. By addressing the cost, disruption and space barriers that stop many households from switching to a heat pump, the Q-zeta system aims to make low-carbon heating practical and affordable.
By providing long-duration energy storage, the integrated thermal store also helps balance the grid and enables higher levels of variable renewable energy.
